Detox and my sleeping habits

Before I started this detox, I used to snore… REALLY snore
To the point where people around me couldnt sleep

However this morning my rather pleased looking girlfriend informed me that since I’ve stopped drinking coffee and alcohol - I don’t snore anymore

We aren’t sure which (though I suspect the coffee)

Also I am finding it very easy to fall asleep - as soon as I get in bed and my head hits the pillow i’m gone. I’m tired around 11pm as well instead of 3am

I feel like the sleep im having is much more beneficial too as I wake up feeling quite refreshed and ready for the day, rather than still massively tired and wanting to stay in bed

So far.. so good :)

Detox/diet days 1-3

Well I’m coming to the end of day 3 of my detox… its not been great so far

The most noticeable side effects of cutting caffeine out completely have been tiredness and a massive lack of concentration

I’m working on a database schema at work at the moment - and Im really struggling to stay focused on anything. My mind keeps wandering all over the place!!

I’m finding it very hard to wake up in the mornings and nearly impossble to stay awake between 3-5pm
Although I am sleeping much better once I get in bed - I dont find im lying there trying to fall asleep anymore

Im drinking a LOT of water which seems to be helping

The diet side of things is going easier than I thought - I’m REALLY hungry now around 6pm but this is a lot better than getting home still feeling full from lunch and eating for the sake of it anyway

I weighed myself yesterday.. 18st 10lbs

My goal is 16stone before the spring as I want to be a bit more competitive on track (both in my car and karting)

So far… no chocolate, no junk food, no coffee - and just one cup of tea in 3 days!
At the weekend I join the gym… wish me luck!

Commence detox..

Since I started my new job I’ve been hammering the coffees a bit
Usually drinking a large costa latte every lunch time - with 3 or 4 giant mugs of coffee scattered around the day too

Last week I decided to try a bit of a coffee detox.
Monday went fine with no real noticeable difference in my day - but by wednesday I had a constant head ache… couldnt shift it - and I was tired all day long

I had a particularly long and stressful week in the office so by Friday I’d lost all my will power and had a giant coffee for lunch. Interestingly I couldnt sleep Friday night until about 4am!!!
